Shakespeare Class: This Week’s Learning
19/04/2021: Reminders for the week ahead
- Our PE days are Monday and Friday. Children should wear PE kit to school on these days. PE lessons will take place outside. School uniform should be worn on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- School dinners are available. If your child has a packed lunch, please ensure this is in a disposable container where possible.
- Our timings for the day are 8:45- 9:00 arrival and 3:15 collection. Children should enter through the door by the main school office.
This week’s learning
Maths: We will be learning how to calculate percentages, alongside our weekly arithmetic paper.
English: We will continue to use Letters from the Lighthouse for our comprehension. Our Big Write will be describing a setting, based on the book ‘Journey’ by Aaron Becker.
GPS: We will be revising the different ways to use commas.
Science: We will be learning about the different types of bones in the human skeleton and their names.
Topic: We will be learning about the different parts of rivers as they flow from source to sea and some of the related vocabulary.
RE: In RE we will be discussing the idea of commitment.
PSHE: This week we will be thinking about how jobs fit into different categories and the different skills needed.
Art: We will be learning about David Hockney and giving our opinion on some of his work.
Music: Our music unit this term is based on ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’. We will be appraising the song and learning how to perform it using sign language.
PE: This term we will be continuing to practice netball skills.
French: We will be learning how to use ‘il’ or ‘elle’ to say he or she.
