Churchill Class: This week’s learning 

17.05.21: Reminders for the week ahead

    • To school, please can Churchill Class wear
      • School uniform: Monday and Tuesday
      • Forest school clothes: Wednesday (wellies are still needed please as it is still wet and muddy in the woods).
      • PE KIT: Thursday and Friday
    • We will complete ‘Mile a Day’ every day, so please make sure children have a pair of trainers available, in school, on non-PE days too.
    • Please note, that our forest school lessons will take the place of our computing and art lessons this term.

This week’s learning

In maths, we will classify and compare 2D shapes based on their features; name different parts of a circle; recognise, describe, and compare 3d shapes; and draw and use nets of 3D shapes.

In GPS, we will identify and use the subjunctive verb form.  In spelling, we will revise spellings of words containing the letter- string “ough.”

In English, we will read Holes, chapter 37- 40 and answer comprehension questions based upon these chapters. We will also write a formal letter the Camp Green Lake Warden.

In topic, we will learn about the key features of an OS map to locate the River Rother.

In RE, we will evaluate our thoughts to explain ways in which do Muslims show their commitment to God; and express how they feel is the best way for a Muslim to show commitment to God?

In PSHE, we will begin our new Jigsaw scheme of learning.

In science, we will investigate the circulatory system.

In PE, with Mr Digby, we will be developing our tennis skills.
