Welcome to Potter Class
Hi, I’m Mrs Reeves and I am the teacher of Potter Class. I have been working at Sandhurst for 20 years and have worked in Years 3, 2, 1 and EYFS. I have been KS1 leader for over 10 years and take pride in being a mentor to trainee teachers and NQT’s at our school. Currently I am also acting as Assistant Head whilst Mrs Saunders is on maternity leave. I work closely with Sandhurst nursery as transition into Primary school is key to a successful start to school. The well-being of pupils is key to engagement and involvement to school life, and working in partnership with parents.
I like teaching a cross curricular, creative curriculum tailored to our pupils interests. I encourage outdoor learning and love seeing the children engaging in imaginative play which leads to amazing writing and opportunities for investigation.
Gardening club is an extra-curricular activity I enjoy leading with a fellow colleague, the produce was enjoyed last year by all the hard workers who attend the club and shared with the rest of the school.
I feel so lucky to work in a rural school with such facilities which mean we get to enhance pupils learning so we have happy and healthy pupils.
