On Monday we are heading on a walk around the village. Please do ensure the children have a waterproof coat just in case it rains.
NB: We welcome YEAR 1 (big Potter) parents to an information session about the Year 1 phonics screening taking place in June. A letter came home Friday about this. We are meeting in the Library this Thursday (3.05.18) at 3pm.
This Weeks Learning:In Maths the Big Potters will be learning about adding three small numbers together, spotting doubles and pairs to 10.
Little Potters will be halving and doubling amounts to 10.In English we will be using the past tense to write a recount about our walk around the village.

In Science we be learning about living things and the habitats that they live in. We will be comparing a variety of habitats and will learn how living things adapt to the habitat that they live in.

In topic we will be learning about the human features on the Isle of Coll. Big Potters will then write an information leaflet for tourists, little potters will make a poster.In RE we will be learning about how family is an important part of Shabbat and the Jewish religion.
In Art we will be making family portraits.

In music Big Potters will continue studying our theme song ‘Your imagination’. We will then listen and appraise songs from ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory’ and compare the two different styles. Little Potters will be continuing ‘Big Funk’.

In PHSE we will learn how to identify a range of emotions in ourselves and others.

In computing Big Potters will continue with our work on 2sequence. We will learn how to upload our own sound from a bank of sounds in order to create our own songs.

In PE we will continue our Multi-skills lesson. This week we will concentrate on a variety of ball skills. We will also be practicing track races in preparation for Sports day!
