3.12.18: Reminders for the week ahead
- Thursday: Indoor Athletics Festival, those children taking part, need to be dropped off and picked up from High Weald (they are not required to come to school). Those children not taking part, will stay at school with Mrs Cackett.
- Friday: Christmas shopping morning.
This week’s learning
In Maths, we will consolidate our learning about multiplying and dividing fractions.
In English and GPS, we will answer questions about a Christmas shortbread recipe. We will discuss the meaning of ambiguity and purposefully change punctuation to cause ambiguity.
In Science, we will investigate the impact and importance of sun cream as part of our final light lesson.
Having completed our work about Ancient Maya, we will use our topic time to rehearse for this year’s Christmas Nativity.
In PE, in indoor athletics, we will develop our running technique and evaluate own and other’s technique.
In Art, we will understand and replicate the art of Joaquin Torres Garcia.
In RE, we will explain the meaning of advent and how Christians investigate similarities and differences between Matthew and Luke’s version of the nativity.
In French, we will say what clothes we wear in different situations.
Year 6 weekly homework tasks (Set on Friday, due on the following Friday).
