Nightingale Class: This week’s learning
25.03.19 – Reminders for the week.
- PE on Tuesday and Wednesday (Please make sure PE kit is in school).
- Balanceability on Tuesday morning for Year 1.
- Homework needs to be handed in by Wednesday.
- Spelling test will take place on Wednesday.
- P & F Mother’s Day sale on Friday.
This Weeks Learning:
In Maths we will learning to read, write and measure different units of measure.
In English we will be reading a range of Anthony Browne books, before using his style of writing in our own work.
In Science we will be describing what plants need to grow and stay healthy and applying this knowledge to crops.
In Topic we will be understanding what Chinese culture is like.
In RE we will learning about the Christian story of Easter.
In Art we will be making our own Terracotta Army using clay.
In PHSE children will be learning how to become and feel relaxed.
In PE this week, Mr Digby will be continuing with the unit of Target Games.
On Wednesday with Miss Weeks children will be learning to defend and intercept passes in hockey.
In Computing we will be selecting and formatting text.
In Music we will be listening and appraising the song ‘In the Groove’ by Joanna Mangona and ‘Lord Of The Dance’ by R. Hardiman and begin to recognise the basic style indicators of Folk music.
