Nightingale Class: This week’s learning
10.06.19– Reminders for the week.
- Year 1 Phonics Screening this week,
- PE on Wednesday and Thursday (Please make sure PE kit is in school).
- Homework needs to be handed in by Wednesday.
- Spelling test will take place on Wednesday.
This Weeks Learning:
In Maths we will be revisiting telling the time to half and hour, 15 minutes and 5 minutes and solving time problems.
In English we will be reading and identifying rhyme in the aftican story ‘Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain’.
In Science we will know which parts of my body I use to see, hear, taste, smell and feel.
In Topic we will be understanding what life is like for people living in Kenya.
In RE we will be discussing key parts of a Jewish synagogue.
In Art we will be making our own African Mud huts with the Ndebele Art (Print) design on.
In PHSE children will be able to tell you some things about me that have changed and some things that will not change.
In PE on Wednesday Miss Weeks will teaching children to throw and catch a rugby ball as part of the Tag Rugby unit. On Thursday Mr Digby will continue developing children’s tennis skills.
In Computing will be starting our animated storybook on 2Create a Story on Purplemash.
In Music we will continue to learn this terms song ‘Zootime’ by Joanna Mangona.
