Welcome to Nightingale Class
Hello, my name is Miss Weeks and I have been a teacher at Sandhurst Primary school since 2015 and in this time I have taught Year 3/4. I thoroughly enjoy teaching all aspects of the curriculum, but especially Maths, computing and PE.
I have recently taught computing to all of Key Stage 2, giving me the opportunity to work with children other than those in my class. I love teaching in other classes as it allows me to get to know children around the school.
Alongside teaching I organise after school sports clubs such as netball and athletics and enter teams into a range of sporting competitions which are always great fun to attend for both myself and the children who love representing the school. I also organise a whole school sports week which includes one of the best days of the year – Sports Day! Alongside all the sporting fun, I love taking the class on school trips and giving the class the chance to learn outside of the classroom environment.

Our Class Name
Florence Nightingale (12 May 1820 – 13 August 1910), was an English nurse. She helped create the modern techniques of nursing. She became a leader of the team of nurses who helped wounded soldiers during the Crimean War.
She was the first female to receive the Order of Merit, the highest honour awarded to a British person. As a nurse she was given the name ‘The Lady with the Lamp’ because at night, she checked on the wounded soldiers and always carried ‘The Lamp’ with her.
