Aims of the School

Sandhurst is a caring school. Each child is seen as an individual, irrespective of ability or background and our staff constantly strive to bring out the best in all our children. Staff have considerable patience and are willing to spend as much time as is necessary with children and their parents or carers to talk through any problems.

It is our aim to assist in the development of each child as an individual – socially, emotionally, physically and academically by providing a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which to learn. We aim to help all children increase their self confidence and to build lively and enquiring minds, enabling each child to reach his or her full potential.

Visitors frequently comment on the family atmosphere within the school and we actively encourage parents and carers to participate in school life. We see the school as part of the  village community and work hard to strengthen these links wherever possible.
