George Parkin

George has been a governor since November 2016. He has also previously been a governor of High Halden C.E Primary School for over seven years and has had responsibility there for SEN and training. He is part of the Governors Services Training team, running courses for governors across the county.

He has many years’ experience in both formal and informal education working with KCC. He was Assistant County Youth Officer responsible for outdoor and residential education. As Partnership Officer with KCC Education Directorate George was responsible for setting up Children’s Centres and supported head teachers in primary schools in Tonbridge and Maidstone.

George took early retirement, from KCC, 4 years ago and is now a freelance trainer. He also teaches outdoor education at KCC’s Bewl Water Outdoor Centre.
