Amanda Norman is the Head of School and an Associate Member of the governing body for this school. She has been a governor since 2014 at Goudhurst and Kilndown Primary School where she worked for the past fifteen years.
Amanda began teaching in Kent in 1990 after completing a B.Ed. with Honours at the University of London, Goldsmiths’ College. All three of her children attended Goudhurst and Kilndown Primary School and then went onto The High Weald and Cranbrook before university and embarking on their own careers. Her youngest son is presently still in sixth form at Cranbrook school.
As well as developing her role as Assistant Head at Goudhurst and Kilndown and teaching across all year groups, Amanda lived at Bethany School as a boarding houseparent for many years; she also works as a County moderator for Kent for KS1 and KS2. For the past year Amanda has been studying for her NPQH and plans to complete this qualification during 2017.
